  • If the product = Ultrameter (Model #: 4PII, 6PII, 9PII)
    • Issue = the meter is not calibrating when using one of the Myron L Company standard calibration solutions.
    • Issue = the display shows "----" and will not give any other readings
      • Resolution/Answer = There are 2 possible reasons for this...
        • 1) The temperature sensor wire may have become disconnected from the circuit board. It is a thin hair-like wire that connects from the sensor well to the top of the circuit board. If that wire breaks, it will need to be sent in for repair.
        • 2) There is most likely moisture inside the meter on the circuit board. You can remove the back cover and clean the circuit board at your own risk using a cotton swab and isopropyl alcohol. Remove the battery, dip the cotton swab in the isopropyl alcohol, and wipe any water spots on the circuit board. Allow the circuitry to dry before closing the meter.
      • If the meter is still showing "----" on the display, it may need to be sent to the repair facility for evaluation. Please see instructions at the bottom of this page.
  • If the product = Ultrapen (Model #: PT1, PT2, PT3, PT4, PT5, etc)...
    • Issue = the meter is not calibrating when using one of the Myron L Company standard calibration solutions.
      • Resolution/Answer = If the Ultrapen does not calibrate when using one of Myron L Company's standard calibration solutions, then you can try cleaning the sensor by following the instructions from the manual (see section above called 'How to calibrate, clean, and maintain the meters':
      • If the meter is still not calibrating, it may need to be sent to the repair facility for evaluation. Please see instructions at the bottom of this page.
    • Issue = the display shows "----" and will not give any other readings
      • Resolution/Answer = There may be moisture inside the meter. If the meter is still showing "----" on the display, it may need to be sent to the repair facility for evaluation. Please see instructions at the bottom of this page.
  • If the product = DS Meter (Model #: 512M1, 512M2, <insert all part numbers>)
    • Issue = the meter is not calibrating when using one of the Myron L Company standard calibration solutions.
      • Resolution/Answer =

  • If the product = pDS Meter (Model #: EP11/pH, <insert all part numbers>)
    • Issue = the meter is not calibrating when using one of the Myron L Company standard calibration solutions.

  • If the product = Inline Monitor (Model #: 721II, 724II, 726II, 729II, 751II, 754II, 756II, 759II)
    • Issue = the meter is not calibrating when using one of the Myron L Company standard calibration solutions.
